Job summary

Curtis Contracting, Inc. (CCI) is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead major highway and civil construction from inception to completion.

You will ensure safety, budget, schedule, and quality while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. The role oversees all project phases, develops CPM schedules, manages budgets and procurement, and enforces permits and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive construction experience, preferably with a general contractor.
• Experience managing heavy highway and civil construction projects.
• Strong negotiation and leadership abilities with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all project phases to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop and manage project schedules, including critical path tracking.
• Lead project teams including field supervision, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Identify and mitigate risks and ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Administer contracts and process change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Manage budgets, cost tracking, and financial forecasting.
• Secure permits and ensure subcontractor insurance compliance.
• Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
• Coach and develop project team; conduct performance evaluations.
• Organize project meetings and provide monthly status reports.
• Oversee project closeout including punch lists and documentation.
