Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Estimator based in Phoenix to develop comprehensive cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including utilities, site work, drainage, and roadways. Your experience with self-perform work and strong negotiation will drive competitive bids.

You will leverage HCSS and Microsoft Project, perform value engineering, and ensure accurate, timely estimates while supporting contract management and project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years estimating heavy civil construction projects, self-perform focus.
• Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficient in HCSS and Microsoft Project; strong blueprint-reading skills.
• Strong knowledge of contract management principles and practices.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills; precise costing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for underground utilities, site work, drainage, and roadways.
• Lead value engineering and negotiate favorable terms and prices.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents for accurate estimates.
• Utilize HCSS and MS Project to manage estimating schedules and resources.
