Jansen is seeking a seasoned Heavy Civil Estimator for Public Works in Seattle, WA. The role involves compiling base estimates for complex projects, developing crew-based cost models in HCSS HeavyBid, and preparing bid packages under the Chief Estimator's guidance.

Responsibilities include bid support, CPM scheduling in Primavera P6, and thorough quantity takeoffs, with site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess conditions and constraints.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years estimating heavy civil, public works, earthwork, underground utilities, or roadway projects.
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid to build complete estimates and cost assemblies.
• Experience with Primavera P6 to develop baseline CPM schedules and logic networks.
• Experience with 3D takeoff tools (AGTEK, Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift).

Responsibilities

• Prepare full base estimates for public works, heavy civil, earthwork, and utility projects for review and sign-off by the Chief Estimator.
• Build crew-based cost models in HCSS HeavyBid, including labor crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractor pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Solicit and organize vendor/subcontractor quotes to ensure coverage.
• Assist Chief Estimator during bid closings with sub-scope comparisons.
