Job summary

Teksky LLC seeks an experienced Senior Estimator to lead bidding and estimation for heavy civil construction and DOT projects. The candidate will manage a small team of 4–5 estimators and oversee hard-bid and design-build estimating processes.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans and specs, analyzing costs, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and mentoring the estimating team to ensure timely, accurate bid submissions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant estimating experience in heavy civil construction and DOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quantity takeoffs, and bid packages for heavy civil and DOT projects.
• Manage hard-bid and design-build estimating processes.
• Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Analyze labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor costs, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and operations teams.
• Conduct jobsite visits and evaluate construction methods, staging, and project feasibility.
• Develop project schedules and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Lead and mentor a small estimating team of 4–5 people while ensuring accurate and timely bid submissions.
