Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead bidding and estimation for heavy civil construction and DOT projects. The ideal candidate will have strong estimating expertise, proficiency in industry-specific software, and the ability to manage a small team of 4–5 estimators.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quantity takeoffs, and bid packages for heavy civil and DOT projects.
• Manage hard-bid and design-build estimating processes.
• Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Analyze labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor costs, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant estimating experience in heavy civil construction and DOT projects.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid and AGTEK is strongly preferred.
• GDOT experience is ideal, but candidates with experience in other state DOT projects will be considered.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Vista, and Procore is a plus.
• Knowledge of utility work, structural concrete, and deep foundation projects is desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
