Job summary

TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc.is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position ofSenior Heavy Assembler, 1st shift at ourShell Rock, IAoffice.

What you’ll do:

• Assemble fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies or complete units.
• Lay out reference points, position, align and fit together fabricated parts of metal or fiberglass mold according to blueprint and layout specifications fabrication.
• Utilize mechanical fastening (bolts, nuts, hucks)
• Apply appropriate torque sequence and values (certified)
• Utilize hand tools to bend or form parts
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Be involved in safety committees or initiatives, as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• Minimum of 2 year of experience
• Capable of manually applying torque up to 760 ft‑lbs in accordance with job requirements
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
