Job summary

AssistRx, Inc. seeks a Software Solutions Architect to shape enterprise-scale architecture across client deployments and the core SaaS platform. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and leadership to ensure HIPAA-compliant, scalable solutions delivered on schedule.

You will drive architectural standards, ADRs, API strategy, and open API design while hands-on prototyping and reviews to balance speed with long-term platform health in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3–5+ years in architecture or senior technical leadership.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-grade, distributed systems in regulated environments (HIPAA).
• Strong expertise with .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET Core / Web APIs.
• Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Blob Storage, API Management).
• Experience with relational and in-memory data stores: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Redis.
• Deep understanding of HTTP & RESTful APIs.
• Secure data exchange patterns (including SFTP).
• Strong experience with Git workflows, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with DBAs on schema design and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across client-facing implementations and shared platform capabilities.
• Translate business, regulatory (HIPAA), and customer requirements into architecture designs.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts including diagrams, data flows, API contracts, and ADRs.
• Define and enforce non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, availability, security).
• Guide architectural evolution toward well-bounded microservices where appropriate.
• Define and govern HTTP-based API standards (REST design, versioning, error handling).
• Lead contract-first API development using OpenAPI / Swagger.
• Architect and govern Azure API Management (APIM) including auth, rate limiting, and monitoring.
• Design secure and reliable SFTP integrations, validation, reconciliation, and failure recovery.
• Assess scalability, reliability, and compliance gaps; reduce technical debt without halting delivery.
• Establish guardrails and reference implementations for fast yet safe delivery.
• Represent architecture in CAB, release planning, and executive discussions.
