Job summary

Vizient is seeking a senior analyst to lead complex healthcare revenue cycle analytics supporting client engagements focused on chargemaster optimization, pricing, reimbursement, claims, and financial performance.

You will analyze large datasets, develop analytical solutions and translate findings into actionable recommendations, collaborating with Finance, Coding, IT and Pharmacy teams to improve financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience required.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience analyzing large, complex healthcare datasets.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations including chargemaster, pricing, billing, reimbursement and claims analysis.
• Working knowledge of revenue codes, CPT and HCPCS codes, modifiers, billing units, payer reimbursement, contractual adjustments, denials and accounts receivable.
• Understanding of the pharmacy revenue cycle from order to billing, payment, reconciliation and collections.
• Familiarity with CMS policies and healthcare reimbursement requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and prioritize deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze chargemaster structure, pricing, reimbursement data, and charge accuracy.
• Evaluate pricing and reimbursement methodologies to improve financial performance.
• Review data on chargemaster, pricing, claims, remittance, payer contracts, adjustments and denials to identify trends.
• Analyze national claims and benchmark data to assess client pricing and revenue opportunities.
• Develop financial models, dashboards, reports and recurring analytics for client needs.
• Write, troubleshoot and optimize complex SQL queries across healthcare data sources.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and validate results against source systems.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to consulting teams and stakeholders.
• Document business rules, data definitions, methodologies and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with client Finance, PFS, Coding, Managed Care, IT, Pharmacy and other departments.
