Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Project Manager for the Renovation & Construction Department to lead capital healthcare projects from planning through design, construction, activation, and turnover across the Hyde Park campus and offsite sites.

You will supervise budgets from $100k to $10M, coordinate internal resources with consultants and contractors, chair progress meetings on site, manage risk and change control, and deliver projects on schedule while upholding healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or PM field preferred.
• 7–10 years in construction/design with significant PM experience.
• Healthcare project experience with infection control preferred.
• Experience managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources.
• Experience coordinating external architects/engineers and contractors.
• Familiarity with design-build and related methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM services for construction projects, managing cost, scope, schedule, resources, and risk.
• Direct and manage external resources including designers, builders, and vendors; manage bids and contracts.
• Oversee project delivery, plan activation phases, manage multiple projects, report milestones to leadership.
• Lead owner-architect-contractor progress meetings on-site.
• Provide project controls: manage invoices, schedules, change logs.
• Develop commissioning and turnover plans, warranties, training, occupancy certificates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
