Job summary

Acentra Health is seeking a Project Manager, Specialist to join our growing team. The role leads complex, high-risk, or strategic projects or portfolios, providing mentorship and thought leadership.

You will work with customers, managers, and staff to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, while meeting client expectations. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, risk management, and governance adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• PMP or Six Sigma certification required (can be waived with 10+ years of direct and relevant Project Management experience).
• Experience with healthcare delivery systems, Medicaid/Medicare programs, or government contracts strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees complex, high-risk, or strategic projects and portfolios with end-to-end planning and delivery.
• Leads project teams up to 100 employees with large contract values and high complexity.
• Develops and executes project plans aligned with strategy, client requirements, and contracts.
• Manages budgets, resources, risks, and milestones, reporting to senior leadership.
• Mentors other Project Managers and maintains governance and compliance.
