Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Interior Designer – Healthcare to lead and mentor the interior design team on healthcare projects, collaborating with architectural teams and clients to conceptualize, document, and coordinate interior design, materials, FFE, and signage.

You will drive space planning, interior architecture, and material palettes while ensuring compliance with codes, accessibility, and LEED requirements. Strong BIM and client management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of accessibility codes and applicable building codes.
• Thorough understanding of all phases of architectural document production through construction administration and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
• Ability to participate in multiple projects and multiple teams simultaneously.
• Ability to create project plans and schedules.
• Accountability to project profitability.

Responsibilities

• For smaller projects on which Interior Design is the prime consultant, you may manage projects and schedules by overseeing administrative aspects of the projects, including contract negotiations, project set-up, invoicing, and planning.
• Participate in development of the program and other pre-design efforts.
• Lead workshops with clients to ascertain cultural and desired outcomes.
• Develop space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.
• Develop interior design, material palette and FFE through sketches, BIM models, diagrams, and other visuals.
