Job summary

Southern Cancer Center is seeking a results-driven Controller to lead financial operations across its multi-site practice in Daphne, AL. You will partner with executives to drive budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and revenue cycle performance.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, seven-plus years in financial management, and a proven track record in leadership, system optimization, and internal controls to support growth and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive financial management experience.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Advanced proficiency with financial reporting systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership and physician partners.
• Lead monthly/annual close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee revenue cycle processes and internal controls.
• Coordinate audits and ensure GAAP compliance across multiple sites.
• Analyze contracts for financial impact and ensure adherence to agreements.
• Develop staff and provide coaching to accounting/finance teams.
• Collaborate with leadership on system enhancements and process improvements.
• Support organizational strategic planning and financial policy development.
