Job summary

Americhem, a global designer and manufacturer of color masterbatch and additives, seeks a Development Scientist/Engineer – Healthcare to lead scalable technology platforms. You will work with customers and internal teams to develop new products, processes and tests, driving phase-gate projects and IP initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, manage timelines, ensure quality, and contribute to growth strategies while aligning with regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience developing commercial healthcare products (medical devices, drug delivery, diagnostics)
• Experience with ISO & USP Healthcare Regulations is required
• Experience with polymer processing, compounding and injection molding

Responsibilities

• Lead development of differentiated technology platforms for healthcare products.
• Drive experimentation, prototyping, testing, qualification, and scale-up with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure adherence to Management of Change processes.
• Mentor development engineers and specialists to deliver projects on time and to quality standards.
• Manage execution through stage-gate processes and continuous workflow improvement.
• Collaborate with Design Teams, Sales and customers on technology transfer and trials.
• Provide updates through reviews and customer engagements.
• Contribute IP and growth strategy input and monitor industry trends.
• Support recruitment and strengthen technical capabilities.
