Job summary

NELSON is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join our Healthcare Practice in Los Angeles. The Sr. TD will lead and contribute to design, documentation and construction efforts, working with project teams to deliver complex healthcare facilities on schedule and within budget.

Qualified candidates will bring advanced AutoCAD and Revit skills, experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, and a track record delivering healthcare projects. Strong leadership and client-facing abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of design techniques and production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
• Experience on Healthcare Design projects (Hospitals/Medical Centers) is required.
• Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and sub consultants in the execution of construction documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in the preparation of construction documentation.
• Partner with the Project Manager on delivery goals.
• Lead design charrettes and project team meetings; mentor teammates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors and authorities.
• Produce and update construction documents and specifications.
• Coordinate technical details for system integration and BIM coordination.
