Veeva Systems is seeking a Data Scientist on the Link Key Accounts team to turn multi-source healthcare data into reliable intelligence about organizations, networks, and decision-makers. You will blend quantitative analysis of claims with qualitative inference to build org charts and influence maps, shaping methods and product directions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data science and statistics experience.
• 5+ years working with healthcare data and the US healthcare system.
• Experience with healthcare claims data (medical and/or pharmacy) and metrics.
• Experience with healthcare organizational data (HCO/HCP, IDN, GPO, payer).
• Experience developing clinical ontologies or standardized healthcare data models.
• Experience with entity resolution, record linkage, or fuzzy matching on real-world data.
• Track record of inferring structure from noisy, incomplete data and scaling.
• Ability to explain statistical concepts to varied audiences.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and turning goals into tangible plans.

Responsibilities

• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to healthcare claims and structured data to build new metrics.
• Transform public financial data into signals and coherent narratives about financial health of organizations.
• Build entity resolution and record-linkage models across health systems, providers, payers and employers.
• Develop affiliation and network mapping to infer connections and reporting structures.
• Infer organizational structure from qualitative signals to build org charts and decision-maker maps.
• Design data-sourcing methodologies to evaluate and combine heterogeneous inputs into accurate signals.
• Build models powering account targeting and segmentation for strategic insights.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, Engineering and QA to move solutions to production.
