General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Sr. Data Scientist to advance analytics and AI capabilities for fraud, waste, and abuse detection in Medicare and Medicaid.

You will develop generative AI-powered solutions, agent-based systems, and scalable data science tools to transform claims data into actionable insights for program integrity. The role requires 5+ years of data science experience, a technical degree, proficiency with Python or R, and hands-on work with ML frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with an analytical or technical focus (Statistics, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics) or related area
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science
• 2+ years of experience with Medicare/Medicaid data analytics
• Familiarity with Python or R for data science (ML)
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Seaborn, GGPlot, Matplotlib
• Knowledge of SQL, Databricks, Snowflake and Spark technologies
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face Transformers, vector databases, LLM orchestration tools
• Understanding of statistics and model development basics (feature engineering, thresholds, train/test split)
• Ability to create data visualizations and communicate insights
• Self-starter with curiosity and ability to explain complex data and AI systems

Responsibilities

• Analyze Medicare and Medicaid claims data using statistics and machine learning techniques
• Develop generative AI-powered solutions and agent-based systems to enhance fraud detection
• Build predictive and anomaly detection models to improve insights and program integrity
• Identify opportunities to leverage CMS data with modern AI/ML methods, including LLMs and vector databases
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences and leadership
• Performs additional duties as assigned
