Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst Senior to drive data-driven decision making for CMS projects. You will lead analytics initiatives, work on fraud, waste, and abuse detection in Medicare/Medicaid data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable insights.

The role emphasizes hands-on data analysis, predictive modeling, and presenting results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Remote work is supported with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytical or technical field (Statistics, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience conducting advanced analyses, including at least 1 year leading analytics projects from concept through delivery.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems and analyzing healthcare claims data.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with R or Python for data science (including machine learning).

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics and machine learning projects from concept to completion, ensuring actionable results to detect and deter FWA.
• Guide project teams in technical tasks while remaining hands on to analyze claims data and conduct advanced statistical analyses when needed.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes.
• Partner with subject matter experts to deliver quality, actionable findings.
• Present complex analytics and insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences and leadership.
• Identify opportunities for leveraging Medicare and Medicaid data to drive insightful FWA solutions.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in data management and analytics.
• Communicate effectively with team members while working remotely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
