Job summary
Cognizant is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst – Data & Analytics with Healthcare Experience to drive data solutions across healthcare networks. You will lead requirements gathering, map complex data, and define technical specs, working with data engineers, analytics teams, and stakeholders.
You will leverage SQL, MS SQL Server, and GCP/BigQuery to validate data, perform mappings, and support analytics initiatives in an Agile environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Experience in business analysis: requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Healthcare data analysis and knowledge of healthcare processes (claims, Medicare, Medicaid).
- Advanced SQL skills with MS SQL Server; experience with GCP/BigQuery.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements; Agile/Scrum participation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills; UAT coordination.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document requirements for healthcare data initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand processes, data requirements, and reporting needs.
- Conduct workshops to define project scope and solution requirements.
- Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL, GCP/BigQuery.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, QA, and business teams to deliver solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support backlog refinement and sprint planning.
- Coordinate UAT activities and manage risks and dependencies.
