Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Senior Technical Business Analyst – Data & Analytics with Healthcare Experience. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver healthcare data solutions, lead requirements, and validate data across claims, Medicare, and Medicaid domains.

You will leverage SQL and BigQuery, work in Agile teams, create user stories, and drive end-to-end delivery while ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong BA experience including requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Healthcare business processes and data analysis experience.
• Experience with Claims, Adjudication, Medicare and/or Medicaid.
• Advanced SQL skills with MS SQL Server.
• Experience with GCP/BigQuery for data analysis and validation.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements docs.
• Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum and participation in delivery teams.
• Data mapping, reconciliation, impact analysis, root-cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document requirements for healthcare data initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand processes, data needs, and reporting.
• Lead workshops to define project scope and solution requirements.
• Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Perform data analysis using SQL, MS SQL Server, and BigQuery.
• Map data, reconcile datasets, and perform impact analyses.
• Collaborate with data engineering, QA, and analytics teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and backlog refinement.
• Coordinate UAT activities and support issue resolution.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
