Vizient is seeking a seasoned contracting professional to develop strategies for physician, clinical, purchased services, and capital contracts. You will lead complex negotiations, analyze cost data, and guide client and supplier discussions to drive cost savings and value.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and internal teams, with a hybrid work model and locations in Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; and Centennial, CO. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in business, supply chain, legal studies, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare, clinical, or pharmacy.
• Experience drafting, redlining, and negotiating complex terms.
• Proven ability to lead complex negotiations.
• Strong analytical and financial problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel.
• Hybrid work model; three days/week in Irving TX, Chicago IL, Centennial CO; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop customized contract strategies and recommendations for complex contracting needs.
• Lead negotiations with legal, clients, and suppliers to establish contract terms and conditions.
• Prepare and analyze requests for proposals to evaluate options and develop contracting recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients to develop contracts addressing requirements and complex sourcing needs.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving initiatives for large or complex client accounts and projects.
• Analyze and interpret cost and utilization data to identify savings opportunities.
• Monitor contract compliance with terms and conditions to support cost savings and program objectives.
• Support supplier relationships through coordination of product cross-references and in-services.
• Develop and deliver communication strategies to convey recommendations and opportunities to clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, including senior leaders and team members.
