Job summary

Vizient, Inc. in Chicago, IL or Irving, TX is seeking a contract and pharmacy services leader to manage a market-leading portfolio of supplier service agreements, delivering best-in-class contracting strategies and expertise that provide supply chain cost reductions.

You will coordinate stakeholder needs through contracting, advisory, compliance, policy, and analytics services, and support development of new opportunities in partnership with team members.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy or PharmD degree required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Contracting experience with direct negotiations preferred.
• Superior communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
• Strong presentation and customer service skills.
• Cross-functional interaction skills with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment of business strategy with corporate objectives related to services and contracting activities.
• Capture and organize information from voice of customer engagements to learn stakeholders' requirements.
• Identify strategic issues and opportunities for improving stakeholder satisfaction based on VOC sessions.
• Review financial aspects of assigned contracts including budget accruals, forecasting, and revenue expectations.
• Lead pharmaceutical negotiations process from opportunity identification to implementation and contract terms.
• Build relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers and serve as single point of communication on pharmacy programs.
• Partner with legal resources to explain concepts requiring deviation from standard terms; develop appropriate terms.
• Establish working relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted advisor for access to contract offerings.
• Monitor and update existing projects/contracts based on market changes; contribute to new projects.
• Pursue new opportunities to grow pharmacy purchases and savings for existing programs.
