Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE, seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee design and construction across the Delaware Valley region. Manage major renovations and new builds, ensuring safety, quality, timelines, and budgets from design through occupancy.

The role requires 5–7 years as an Owner’s representative in healthcare settings, with strong communication and leadership skills. Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with on-call emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; healthcare PM experience may substitute.
• PE or Architect registration preferred but not required.
• 5–7 years’ experience as owner’s representative in healthcare facilities or similar.
• Strong verbal and written communication with high-level stakeholders.
• Knowledge of hospital codes and design standards (NFPA 99, FGI, NFPA 101).
• Experience with design-build and contracting methods; proficiency with MS Office and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects from concept to turnover and occupancy.
• Select and manage design consultants and bidders.
• Develop conceptual budgets and master schedules; monitor changes to stay on budget.
• Review drawings for code compliance and quality; lead design reviews.
• Coordinate with hospital staff to minimize patient/family impact; run regular meetings.
• Present to committees and ensure regulatory compliance with Nemours standards.
• Oversee project closeout, turnover, and commissioning; manage contractors and vendors.
