Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead design, bidding and construction phases for infrastructure and special projects. The role requires collaborating with caregivers and administration to ensure safe, economical completion of work in a hospital setting.

The position follows a standard daytime schedule (8:00AM–5:00PM) with responsibilities spanning meetings, drawings review, contract coordination and on-site supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Construction Management or related program OR equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in Project/Construction Management of Commercial/Public/Healthcare Facility Construction with full responsibility for coordinating single trade or multiple trade projects with construction values more than $5M.
• Knowledge of construction/architectural terms; ability to read construction documents and participate in contract process.
• Experience with engineering, design scope, contract terms, budgets, change management, schedules and issue resolution throughout project life cycle.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to work under pressure; confidentiality; stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Organize, chair and represent the Owner at regular project meetings; provide advice to facilitate economical, efficient and desired outcomes.
• Manage and design bidding and construction phases of Cleveland Clinic infrastructure and special construction projects.
• Review and provide technical assistance on construction specifications, architectural drawings and design standards.
• Coordinate the contract bidding process.
• Manage on-site inspection of contractor work including scheduling and coordinating installation of interior appliances.
• Review and approve financial components; provide reports and presentations to administration on project progress.
• Complete finishing details of projects; submit certificates of completion and finalize records.
