Job summary

Cook County Health is seeking a Compliance Officer to lead the development, implementation, and evolution of the organization’s compliance program. The role oversees policy development, training, investigations, and reporting to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal codes of conduct.

The successful candidate will collaborate with operational leadership, coordinate enterprise-wide compliance activities, and maintain confidentiality while driving continuous program improvements

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher required.
• Three years of healthcare analysis and investigations experience.
• Strong knowledge of coding, billing, medical records, review/analysis, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and evolution of the system-wide compliance program.
• Collaborate with operational leadership to foster ownership of compliance.
• Deliver and coordinate compliance training for employees, physicians, volunteers, students, vendors, and consultants.
• Assess, update, and communicate compliance policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports and action plans following compliance reviews.
