Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is hiring a Coding Auditor to perform post-bill coding audits across inpatient and/or outpatient services. You will validate DRG assignments, MCC/CC integrity, modifiers, and APCs while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines.

The role requires 5+ years of acute care coding, CCS/RHIA/RHIT/CPC/CIRCC credentials, and strong analytical skills. Excellent communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of acute care inpatient or outpatient hospital coding experience.
• Experience with high complexity cases and coding audits or quality review.
• Proficient with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, modifiers and reimbursement methods.
• Knowledge of DRG/IPPS and OPPS/APC systems and CMS requirements.
• Ability to translate audit findings into actionable education.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post-bill coding audits for accuracy and reimbursement integrity.
• Perform DRG, MCC/CC, modifier, and APC validation reviews.
• Apply IPPS/OPPS knowledge during audits and reviews.
• Identify trends in accuracy, documentation quality, and reimbursement outcomes.
• Provide detailed audit findings to support improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with education team to translate results into training.
