Shawnee Gardens Healthcare & Rehab Center is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee the facility's business office operations, including AR, billing, collections, and payer processes. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience and strong knowledge of Medicare, Kansas Medicaid, and Care Access.

The role requires hands-on AR management, payer billing oversight, and leadership in a skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of healthcare business office management experience.
• Hands-on Medicare and insurance billing experience.
• Experience with Kansas Medicaid and Care Access processes.
• Strong collections history with demonstrated results.
• Knowledge of payer requirements, eligibility verification, and billing workflows.
• Ability to reconcile open accounts and manage aged receivables.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business office operations and maintain resident financial records and billing documentation.
• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up and reconciliation of open accounts.
• Monitor claim submissions, denials, and underpayments; implement corrections and follow-up.
• Oversee Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and other payer billing processes.
• Prepare AR reports, aging reports, and collection updates for leadership.
• Attend weekly UR and monthly Triple Check meetings with inter-disciplinary team.
• Maintain compliance with federal and Kansas regulations and internal policies.
• Perform MOD duties on a rotating schedule, including some weekends.
• Collaborate with admissions, clinical leadership, residents’ families, and providers to resolve billing concerns.
