Placements24 is seeking an experienced Architect to design healthcare facilities in Welkom, Free State. The role emphasizes patient safety, infection control, and functional efficiency across hospitals, clinics, and centers.

You will lead design efforts, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and ensure regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will boast a strong healthcare portfolio, professional SACAP registration, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of architectural experience with a strong focus on healthcare facility design.
• Portfolio of successful healthcare projects showcasing design excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Professional registration with SACAP is mandatory.
• Proficiency in architectural design software (Revit and AutoCAD).

Responsabilités

• Lead architectural design for healthcare projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with medical practitioners, administrators, and consultants to define requirements and layouts.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare building codes, standards (e.g., SANS 10400) and infection control guidelines.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and models using Revit/AutoCAD.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, coordinating with consultants and contractors.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new developments or renovations.
• Oversee construction administration to ensure design intent and quality.
• Apply evidence-based design practices in healthcare facilities.
• Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the firm's expertise in healthcare architecture.
