Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Healthcare Architectural Consultant to design and plan state-of-the-art healthcare environments, including hospitals and clinics, with emphasis on patient well-being, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

The role is hybrid, requiring on-site collaboration in Welkom, Free State and remote work with project stakeholders beyond. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and architectural software is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture.
• Minimum of 10 years of architectural experience focused on healthcare facilities.
• Experience designing hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres and medical facilities.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, infection control, and equipment integration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and rendering tools.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Hybrid work model with on-site consultations.
• Experience in the Free State region is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert architectural consultation for the design and planning of new healthcare facilities and the renovation of existing ones.
• Develop conceptual designs, space plans, and detailed layouts for various healthcare departments and services.
• Ensure all healthcare facility designs comply with national and international healthcare standards, building codes, and accessibility regulations.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, engineers, and construction teams to translate clinical needs into functional and efficient architectural solutions.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for healthcare projects.
• Prepare design presentations, reports, and documentation for client review and regulatory approvals.
• Advise on the selection of appropriate materials, finishes, and medical equipment integration.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in healthcare architecture.
• Contribute to the development of project briefs and specifications for healthcare construction projects.
