BHDP Architecture in Columbus, OH seeks an Architect III to lead design coordination and mentorship, delivering constructible drawings and spec intent. You will translate design intent into buildable deliverables, align consultants and internal teams, and drive quality across multiple projects.

The role requires a licensed architect with advanced Revit and visualization skills (SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion). Excellent communication and team collaboration are essential for successful project

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture degree; NAAB accredited preferred.
• 9+ years in the design and/or architecture industry.
• Licensed Architect.
• Advanced Revit knowledge; independently deliver drawing packages and teach others.
• Advanced production-ready visualization capabilities: SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion.
• Demonstrated ability to delegate, coach, and raise team performance.
• Shows initiative and strong problem-solving.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within a team.

Responsibilities

• Leads effort to deliver results across multiple projects with consistent quality and milestone readiness.
• Drives issues to verified closure via QA/QC and cross-discipline coordination.
• Breaks projects into clear work assignments and ensures timely delivery.
• Coaches and delegates through redlines/markups and brief check-ins.
• Identifies complex coordination and code/life-safety issues early and develops options.
• Escalates high-risk items and documents key decisions.
• Collaborates to reconcile design intent with constructible deliverables.
• Provides peer review input and tracks comments to closure.
• Maintains rolling look-ahead across projects to stay milestone-ready.
