Job summary

The Segal Group, Inc. in New York is seeking a Consultant, Healthcare Informatics to analyze healthcare data in our data warehouse and deliver strategic insights.

You will contribute to analytics development, forecasting, and thought leadership within the Health Consulting & Analytics team. Ideal candidates will have strong SQL skills, experience with PowerBI/Tableau, and a graduate-level background in data science or health informatics.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of health and welfare/managed care experience in a consulting environment.
• Experience in provider network pricing and reimbursement analysis with analytics background.
• Expertise in healthcare claims, pharmaceuticals, and clinical care regimes.
• Expert level proficiency in SQL; Python familiarity with regression, clustering, and tree models.
• Proficiency in PowerBI or Tableau with complex data models and DAX knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree; graduate degree in data science, healthcare informatics, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to distill data into concise insights.
• Strategic, business-partnering orientation and collaborative work ethic.
• Ability to lead and participate in business development/recruiting initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a Consultant on healthcare analytics, forecasting clinical care impacts and market trends.
• Act as a technical resource on health plans and managed care inquiries; mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate with IT partners on strategic solutions to expand the database capabilities.
• Develop thought leadership, analytics tools, and client-ready presentations.
• Support professional development and stay current with marketplace trends and best practices.
