Job summary

Myers & Stauffer LC seeks a Senior Analyst in Kansas City to lead long term care payment methodology projects and analyze provider financial data. You will prepare and distribute analytical reports and mentor staff accountants.

You will also review Medicaid policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with IT to support product performance. Travel and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred in accounting or related field.
• 3 years’ experience in healthcare analytics/auditing, public accounting, or related field.
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with database and report writing desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead various long term care payment methodology projects and analyze health care provider financial information.
• Independently prepare, interpret, and distribute analytical reports and written summaries.
• Mentor and train staff accountants.
• Provide quality assurance reviews on analyses completed by team members and self-review.
• Conduct research to determine billing and reimbursement compliance with Medicaid or other government program regulations.
• Coordinate staffing on projects.
• Review Federal and State Medicaid policies and regulations relating to healthcare reimbursement.
• Participate in evaluating client-identified issues and contribute to solutions.
• Communicate with all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of protected health information.
• Bridge between clients, business users, and developers for IT solutions.
• Work with internal IT teams to ensure day-to-day technical performance of our product.
• Create user guides/end user documentation.
• Perform functional tests and user acceptance tests for applications and business processes.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
