We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join our team and contribute to this mission.

The Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager is a strategic business leader responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving Ourvita's HSE strategy across U.S. operations. • Develop and execute HSE strategies, standards, annual objectives, and key performance indicators that align with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and operational leaders by evaluating HSE risks, recommending practical solutions, and integrating HSE considerations into business planning and decision-making.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture by establishing clear expectations, strengthening leadership accountability, and increasing employee engagement in hazard identification and risk reduction.
  • Lead enterprise compliance, risk management, and assurance programs to meet applicable occupational safety, environmental, transportation, and occupational health requirements.
  • Direct HSE management systems, including audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and regulatory reporting.

  • Lead the design and delivery of HSE training, leadership development, and competency programs that build organizational capability and strengthen safety ownership.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and People & Culture to integrate HSE requirements into change management, capital projects, process improvements, and new equipment or facility design.
  • Collaborate with Ourvita HSE leadership to align corporate initiatives, share best practices, and ensure consistent execution of standards across the business.
  • Serve as the primary company representative with regulatory agencies, emergency response organizations, industry associations, auditors, and other external stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Lead environmental compliance and stewardship programs, including permits, waste management, air and water requirements, spill prevention, energy and resource conservation, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Support corporate environmental, social, and governance reporting by maintaining accurate data, validating performance information, and advancing measurable environmental objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish annual and long-range HSE priorities, staffing and resource needs, and capital investment recommendations that protect employees, assets, operations, and the environment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop HSE professionals and site leadership teams. Build bench strength, clarify accountability, and support succession and capability planning.
  • Prepare and present concise HSE performance updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.
Additional Responsibilities

  • Immediately stop work when an imminent risk is observed and follow established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Correct or promptly report unsafe conditions, behaviors, environmental concerns, and other hazards.
