Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Washington DC is seeking a Senior Health Privacy Counsel to support privacy for health projects and advise engineering, product and business teams on cutting-edge health privacy issues.

You will work within the Privacy Legal team to design privacy solutions across products and regulatory issues globally. The role requires deep knowledge of health privacy laws, 7+ years of experience, and the ability to partner at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in health privacy law and/or health research.
• Knowledge of comprehensive privacy laws, regulatory guidance and standards.
• Understanding of US state and federal privacy laws including health privacy and research-based requirements.
• Experience providing strategic and practical advice to product, business and engineering teams.
• Experience advising on regulatory compliance and inquiries.
• JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of health and general privacy laws, regulations, requirements and best practices.
• Advising the business on legal, regulatory, and business standards.
• Supporting and monitoring a privacy program to meet applicable legal requirements.
• Coordinating internal and external investigations and compliance reviews.
• Identifying and communicating potential risks with leadership.
• Staying informed of changes to privacy laws, regulations, standards and guidance.
