Job summary

Lockton Companies LLC in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Financial Analyst who will contribute to development, delivery and consulting on health and welfare financial work for employer clients in the Midwest. The role requires leveraging data and collaborating with financial and client service teams to prepare comprehensive reporting and insights on health benefit plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Math, or related field required.
• 4+ years of group health benefits experience at a brokerage/consulting firm or insurance carrier with focus on underwriting/financial analysis.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis for employer group health plans including claim reporting, rate setting, and plan design modeling.
• Leverage models to illustrate client health plan financial patterns and contribute to custom reports.
• Evaluate benefits utilization and claims data to help clients manage costs.
• Prepare spreadsheets, graphs, charts and other visuals for presentations.
• Support development of health plan reserve estimates for self-funded clients.
• Participate in client meetings delivering financial information and results.
• Assist with RFP analysis and modeling of network changes and payment alternatives.
• Provide financial modeling support for prospects.
• Stay informed on insurance industry developments and products.
