Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of enterprise systems engineering, infrastructure technologies, and Health IT environments.
• Experience assessing architectures, integration strategies, and engineering solutions in complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of modernization, interoperability, cloud/hybrid environments, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to identify and evaluate technical risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Experience reviewing engineering documentation and design artifacts.
• Proven technical leadership and advisory support to teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication of complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain DHS Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical guidance and engineering support for Health IT systems and modernization initiatives.
• Evaluate architectures and proposed solutions to ensure alignment with requirements and standards.
• Support modernization, integration, migration, and lifecycle management through advisory services.
• Assess risks and dependencies related to scalability, interoperability, and performance.
• Review documentation and vendor deliverables for completeness and standards adherence.
• Collaborate with program managers, system engineers, developers, cybersecurity personnel, contractors, and government stakeholders.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues affecting multiple systems.
• Provide leadership with recommendations on alternatives, design considerations, risk mitigation, and implementations.
• Promote adherence to enterprise architecture principles and federal technology standards.
