Job summary

The Colorado Department of Human Services Grand Junction Regional Center is seeking a Health Care Technician III to support the work unit supervisor in delivering person-centered care to adults with IDD. The role emphasizes resource management, records oversight, and responsive problem solving within the care plan.

This in-person position requires rotating shifts, strong clinical skills, leadership capacity, and adherence to state regulations and safety protocols to promote successful resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in an occupational field related to the assigned work.
• Must be QMAP trained or hold a valid LPT license.
• Experience with IDD populations and safety-care practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and oversee up to 14 staff.
• Deliver hands-on care and instruction in daily living activities.
• Ensure safety and support the achievement of personal outcomes per care plan.
• Monitor and respond to behavioral challenges using specified behavior intervention programs.
• Maintain certification in Safety Care and ensure staff competency.
• Oversee staff scheduling, training, and attendance; participate in evaluations.
