Job summary

WTW is seeking a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Director to lead clients’ financial/actuarial engagements across employer health and group benefit programs. You will communicate FAA concepts and results to drive client action and improve plan performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects.

The role requires deep actuarial knowledge, leadership of complex engagements, and the ability to develop pricing strategies and reserves.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in professional services, ideally gained in a health actuarial/underwriting function or health consulting.
• Experience working across multiple client segments.
• Advanced knowledge of broad health and welfare products & services.
• State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining; CEBS designation optional.

Responsibilities

• Leads clients’ financial/actuarial engagements for a portfolio of small clients or manages FAA resources on more complex clients.
• Communicates FAA concepts, strategies and results to drive client action and improve plan performance.
• Guides teams on cost avoidance, risk and funding strategies based on client needs.
• Reviews pricing, models plan design alternatives and calculates reserves.
• Develops and maintains relationships with employers’ and vendors’ primary contacts to enhance WTW’s brand.
