Job summary

Mercer is seeking an experienced Sr. Principal Lead Health Actuary Consultant to join our Actuarial and Financial Consulting teams. This hybrid role requires in-office presence (minimum three days per week) and can be located at any Mercer office across the United States, including Irvine.

You will lead health benefits projects, perform financial projections, assist in plan design optimization, oversee analysts, and present findings to clients alongside senior actuaries.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in actuarial field, consulting experience preferred
• ASA/FSA credential
• BA/BS degree or higher in actuarial science or related field
• Strong analytical and modeling skills with Excel/SAS
• Ability to lead client engagements and manage teams

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements focusing on health benefits strategies, including financial projections, renewal negotiations
• Create deliverables and provide direction to analysts and associates as primary client contact
• Present deliverables to clients with senior members of the client teams
