Milliman's Seattle Health Practice seeks an experienced Actuary. The role emphasizes creative actuarial analysis, clear communication, and leading a team of consultants, supported by extensive on-the-job training in consulting skills and advanced actuarial methods.

You will work on healthcare data analysis, prepare reports for non-technical audiences, manage projects within budget, and mentor junior actuaries, with opportunities to develop client relationships and grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of healthcare actuarial experience with relevant specialties.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Some knowledge of SAS, SQL, or R.
• Strong understanding of the US healthcare system.
• Ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
