Job summary

Milliman’s Seattle Health Practice seeks an Associate Actuary with VBP expertise to lead government program engagements and advise health plans and ACOs. ASA designation and extensive health actuarial experience are required, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

You will supervise actuarial staff, build financial models, analyze data, and communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders. This role offers in-office Seattle work with remote options for US candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of healthcare actuarial experience, with at least four years in a consulting/advisory role supporting health plans, state Medicaid agencies, or ACOs.
• Minimum of five years of experience with Value Based Payments (VBP) arrangements (shared savings, capitation, etc.).
• Minimum of three years leading Medicare/Medicaid VBP work, including mentoring junior staff.
• Proficiency with Excel; knowledge of SAS, SQL, Python, or R; strong US healthcare system understanding.
