Marsh in the United States is seeking a Principal Lead Health Actuary Consultant to manage health benefits engagements, including financial projections, plan design optimization, and renewal negotiations.

The role is based in any US office with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days in the office weekly, and you will lead analysts and collaborate with clients on strategic health actuarial solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have a BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field.
• More than 10 years of actuarial experience with health and benefits consulting.
• Progress toward ASA designation.
• Client-facing experience with strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead routine client engagements, managing service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, and renewals.
• Review analyses by junior staff for actuarial accuracy and model use.
• Perform and review complex analyses and cost projections using Excel, SAS and other tools.
• Draft and review client reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Guide junior team members in client management and contribute to business development.
• Contribute to intellectual capital and expand health insurance actuarial knowledge.
