Mercer is seeking a Sr Health Actuarial Consultant to lead client engagements on health benefits, including financial projections, plan design optimization, and renewal negotiations. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days a week and offers opportunities to mentor analysts and shape client strategy.

You will analyze data with Excel and SAS, develop actionable reports, and contribute to AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in actuarial field, health and benefits consulting.
• Progress toward ASA designation.
• Client facing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Lead routine client engagements, managing service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, benchmarking and other underwriting health and welfare projects.
• Review data analyses conducted by junior staff to ensure actuarial soundness.
• Thrive in an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools.
• Perform and review complex analyses and cost projections using Excel, SAS, and other software.
• Draft and review client reports or presentations to summarize findings and recommendations.
