Job summary

Earth View is seeking a Horizontal Directional Drill Superintendent to oversee HDD projects, manage crews, and ensure safe, on-time delivery of underground utility installations and pipeline work.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HDD with supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read complex plans and coordinate multiple crews across sites. Travel and variable schedules are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar field preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of HDD experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and bore profiles.
• Valid driver’s license; OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise all phases of HDD projects from pre-construction to site restoration.
• Lead HDD crews, including operators and laborers, ensuring safe and efficient performance.
• Oversee HDD rigs, mud systems, and related equipment maintenance and operation.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies on all sites.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports and coordinate with project managers and clients.
