Job summary

Earth View is seeking a seasoned Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) Superintendent to lead underground utility installation and pipeline projects. You will plan, schedule, supervise HDD operations, manage crews and equipment, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and coordinate with engineers, clients, and project managers.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive HDD experience, and a commitment to compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of HDD experience with at least 2 years in supervisor/leadership role.
• Deep understanding of HDD equipment, drilling techniques, soil conditions, and underground utilities.
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred); OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and bore profiles.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise all phases of HDD projects including pre-construction setup, drilling operations, and site restoration.
• Communicate with HDD crews through daily huddles, training, and oversight of work.
• Lead HDD crews, ensuring safe, efficient performance.
• Oversee HDD equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
