Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced HDD Inspector to oversee construction activities in Rockingham County, NC, and Pittsylvania County, VA. The successful candidate will monitor HDD operations, review drilling logs, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications include 10-15+ years in pipeline inspection with strong HDD experience, particularly with large-diameter crossings. The role involves 12-hour shifts and is suitable for candidates preferring 1099 contracting terms. Compensation includes a $178/day Per Diem for those living more than 50 miles from the site.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of pipeline inspection experience preferred.
• Strong HDD inspection experience required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HDD construction activities including drilling operations.
