Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced HDD Inspector to oversee HDD construction activities in Virginia and North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have 10–15+ years of pipeline inspection experience and strong HDD inspection skills.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring construction activities, reviewing drilling logs, and ensuring contractor compliance. This position offers a per diem and a schedule of 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of pipeline inspection experience preferred.
• Experience with large-diameter HDD crossings preferred.
• API 1169 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection oversight for HDD crossings.
• Monitor HDD construction activities, including drilling operations.
• Verify contractor compliance with project specifications.
