Job summary

InterCon Construction in Madison, WI is seeking an HDD Superintendent to supervise and perform skilled HDD work for oil and gas transmission systems. This role oversees daily operations, safety, and efficiency of the HDD crew on projects nationwide.

The position requires the ability to read plans, coordinate with customers and subcontractors, ensure tooling and materials are available, and maintain records while upholding OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• The job requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with HDD operations is required.
• CDL is preferred and a valid driver's license with a clean record is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of HDD crew safety and efficiency.
• Monitor, direct, and participate in all duties of the HDD crew.
• Meet with customers, local officials, locating services, and subcontractors to coordinate the project.
• Conduct daily safety tailgate briefings.
• Procure and arrange for materials for timely and efficient delivery.
• Maintain daily company records (material and time) and provide them to the company and/or customer.
• Promote safety practices and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are maintained and kept clean.
• Ensure proper tooling is available for drills on the job site.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Other duties as assigned.
