Job summary

Integral is seeking a Human Centered Design/UX Lead to drive expert user experience leadership across VA product lines and deliver secure IT solutions. The role partners with Product Owners, BAs, and development teams to ensure design intent is preserved from planning through rollout.

The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of experience, strong UX artifacts capabilities, and a track record in government or regulated environments, with a focus on usability and adoption.

Qualifications

• Experience leading UX/HCD efforts on enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and workflow analysis.
• Ability to develop UX artifacts (personas, journey maps, workflows) for feature definition.
• Proven collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Conducts user research and facilitates design activities reflecting validated user needs.
• Leads UX/HCD efforts on enterprise-scale platforms, aligning with government/regulated environments.
• Develops UX artifacts (personas, journey maps, workflows) for solution design and strategy.
• Collaborates with Product Owners and analysts to maintain alignment between requirements and user needs.
• Advocates for customer-centric design practices across VA systems.
