Job summary

NALEJ Corporation seeks an experienced UI/UX Lead for Enterprise Platforms to drive the UX strategy across a portfolio of data-intensive applications. You will bridge product, architecture, and engineering to deliver reusable React components in a scalable frontend ecosystem.

The role blends design leadership with frontend implementation, advocating accessibility, USWDS, and government-movements while coordinating across DoD and federal customers in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in UI/UX, product design, frontend, or related disciplines.
• 3+ years in hybrid UI/UX and frontend engineering.
• Experience designing complex enterprise/government or data-intensive apps.
• Portfolio with dashboards, analytics platforms, or enterprise systems.
• Proficiency with Figma or similar prototyping tools.
• Hands-on React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern JS practices.
• Experience with Astro and Tailwind CSS; reusable component libraries.
• Knowledge of USWDS and accessibility best practices.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UX across multiple enterprise applications.
• Translate complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
• Develop journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Establish UI/UX standards to improve usability and adoption.
• Balance government requirements with modern design approaches.
• Design and develop frontend components in React/TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams.
• Maintain a unified enterprise design system across platforms.
• Ensure accessibility and Section 508 compliance from design to code.
