Job summary

Bering Straits Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Hazardous Waste Specialist for our Offutt AFB, NE location. The role supports HW and HM management, data tracking, reports, and compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities include data entry into EESOH-MIS, updating the HWMP, and assisting with training and audits while ensuring safety and regulatory adherence in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Education: relevant HW operations experience incl. packaging, labeling, profiling, storing, transporting and manifesting.
• Working knowledge of HW management regulations and DOT HM regulations.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Must obtain and maintain DoD background check and CAC access.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide HW management services including HW collection, accumulation site assistance, sampling and analysis.
• Support HW, RCRA, and nonregulated waste characterization and inventories; prepare reports.
• Enter data into EESOH-MIS; support HWMP updates; participate in training and audits.
• Maintain HM control/tracking systems and collaborate on HM product research and substitution.
